Lightening of structural parts
The objective of the transport industry is to lighten the structures in order to reduce their fuel consumption or payload. All these metallic parts can be reinforced by our products in order to reduce their weight while maintaining or improving the mechanical performances.
The use of very small amounts of nano SiC in an aluminum alloy allows significant gains in strength or in weight. Studies conducted by the University of Wisconsin demonstrate that 1% by mass of nano SiC can get 100% greater mechanical strength on aluminum.
It is also possible to reinforce mechanical characteristics with equal weight or lightening of the chassis:
30% weight gain for identical resistance to the original material.

The Aerospace and Space industry seeks to improve engine performance while reducing fuel consumption and minimizing NOx emissions.
One of the development paths is to manufacture engines that can operate faster and at higher temperatures. SiC Nanoparticles are a very promising solution in this field.
At the cutting edge of new technologies, these industries are now proposing metal parts made from 3D printing technologies. It is then possible to distribute during printing, nanoparticles of SiC homogeneously in the manufactured part in order to increase its technical performances.
